Practice for the BCG Online Case (Casey)

Casey is the chatbot case BCG uses to screen candidates before interviews. It runs about thirty minutes, one question at a time, with no interviewer to steer you and no way to change an answer once it is submitted. CaseTutor's simulation runs the whole case on the same clock, from choosing datasets to recording your final recommendation.

Pick the datasets you want, then work through structuring, exhibits, maths and judgement calls. You finish by writing your recommendation and recording it on video. Enter submits, and nothing can be taken back.

How your attempt is graded

  • Multiple-choice and numeric turns are scored automatically (60% of the grade).
  • Written answers and your recorded recommendation are graded against a published rubric (40%).
  • Every turn can only add to your score. Whether the real test uses negative marking is disputed, so we don't.

Tips for the real thing

  • Read each question to the end before you type. Casey often asks for a specific unit or format.
  • Choose datasets deliberately. Requesting everything costs time you will need for the maths.
  • Draft your recommendation as you go so the final written and video answers are fast.

Frequently asked questions

What is BCG Casey?

Casey is BCG's online chatbot case: an interviewer-led case delivered as a chat, with multiple-choice, numeric and free-text questions and, in many versions, a recorded final answer. It replaces or precedes a first-round interview in many offices.

How long is the BCG Online Case?

Candidates report about 30 minutes. CaseTutor's simulation gives you 32 minutes, including time to record your recommendation.

Can I go back and change an answer in Casey?

No. Each answer is final once submitted, and the simulation works the same way so you build the habit of checking before pressing Enter.

Is this the real BCG Casey?

No. It is an original case built to match Casey's format and timing. It does not reproduce BCG's cases or scoring.

Is the practice test free?

Your first full attempt at each module is free with a CaseTutor account, including the full report. Further attempts are part of a CaseTutor membership.
